sharpening auger blades

What kind of auger blades was it that can't be sharpened ? I remember it was talked about on here but not sure what brand they were . I'm hanging out with my grandson and we ran out of knives to sharpen so we want to give it a try.

Thanks , going to head over to Scheels tomorrow and see if they happen to have and old dull set laying around. We sharpened an old skinning knife with his machine so I think it's doable .

Most professional sharpeners do not like to do them because of the curve, and refuse to do them. I have had them done at Val's in Minot and have been VERY satisfied with the work. Have not sharpened any there for a couple years though.
