What do you think you would have weighed if you did the same physical activity but could eat whatever the hell you wanted?
Ummmmm....hard to say.

I don't do shit now, eat fairly healthy, have a somewhat physically demanding job and I'm 175 lbs.

I don't feel like I'm obese by any means, but I could loose 10 lbs pretty easily.

Tax sounds good but what happens when the revenue flops. No more tax and still the outgoing money fighting it. Colorado pot shops are going tits up left and right. Why because it cheaper to grow your own or buy it from the same local dealer you did before just hope it's not laced with fetynal. People will fight tooth and nail for anything to get that dopamine response. What's next mushrooms and other hallucinogenic. Just like Colorado.

How much are we spending to fight it now? Gotta believe legalizing it would make it a revenue producer or at least make it a break even situation. I mean with it illegal it's basically a one way stream of money down the shitter.

If this passes everywhere will smell like someone ran over a skunk!!! I could care less but put some stipulations on it, like No smoking in public or public venues!!! This is what Canada does I believe. These Vap pens people blow All over are bad enough.
This I agree with totally if you can't smoke within 20 feet of any building it should be the same and possibly it is i don't know. Even though as a quiter who toked the green stuff I wish someone made a tree air freshener with a nice aroma of the white widow cheese skunk bud.

good questions, another thing that needs to be considered is if we should criminalize all things that arent good for people... if so there are a lot of food products that would be illegal, along with a mess of other stuff like gambling, porn, being lazy. Even if its not a net positive for society, if you truly believe in what I think are the core principles of our society, destroying people for a relatively harmless plant is something I find morally/ethically deplorable.
Why add another problem?

It STILL pisses me off beyond a reasonable level what the legislature did when medicinal weed was voted in. Basically ass raped the peoples intent. How is it that a severely injured person can go to a pharmacy in their hometown and fill a prescription for a 5 gallon bucket of oxy, but not a prescription for some weed? Gotta drag your broken ass to one of the special weed store towns. Because of this, I am beginning to lean toward being indifferent instead of a hard NO for recreational. Then maybe the folks who may want to try it for medicinal reasons can get it more hassle free.
As far as obesity and 70% of kids not being eligible for military service, when the shit hits the fan, drill sergeants and drill instructors across America will whip those suddenly eligible fat fuckers into lean mean killers. Isn't that right Private Pyle...

And the possibility of the chemical substances like thc and canoids are really unknown. I know this pisses of the liberal hippy tree huggers something fierce but the reality is no matter if it's legal or not some people will never try it in its natural form. So someone is going to produce products that will be appeasing to those who won't. And that's the way capitalism works and I am going to try to tap into that corner of the market because when the government does drop mj from a schedule 1 to 3 will increase the demand 10 fold. Well atleast I'm hoping so
Be sure to hire lots of migrant children...Mr. Ford, Rockefeller and that other damn dude.

The more laws we have the less free we are...with understanding there is a fine line. Let people live there lives how they want to. Weed may not be for me but if it helps you or anybody who am I to say YOU can't do that? Politicians love to tell us what we can and can't do.

The 20 foot distance rule for smoking from a door is a fucking joke.

Hell, I've had people smoking by the door hold it open for me to walk in.

I use to ask them if I needed to get the tape measure to show them how far 20 feet was, but the wife made me stop because she was afraid I would get stabbed or shot.

Medical MJ is in the same boat as alcohol during Prohibition. Doctors would prescribe it and some would establish medicinal "areas": Saw one preserved example on "American Pickers": Bowling Alley.

The Soviet Union spent more on the "Peace" movement than arming the Viet Cong. Why?

Why introduce another problem?

I concede all negative points about alcohol:

My take. Most who want weed have it anyway. From all my personal experience, I believe it's much safer than alcohol. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to grow this plant.
