I'm declaring VICTORY! Another 15 went out the door and the rest are being claimed for next week. I had to butcher the last few dozen, but if someone puts them to use, I'm a happy guy. Thanks to all those in the peanut gallery who passed this along to friends and family. Operation Chicken Soup is complete.

Great offer, KDM. Our old layers also made great soup chickens. This post did remind me of something I have contemplated more than once. I have thought about how long a guy could go only eating "free" animals from bismanonline or facebook marketplace. There are always free chickens, ducks, geese, goats, pot bellied pigs, etc. I am guessing you wouldn't always be welcome to the free critters if they knew what you were going to do with them, but lots of good eating to be had for "free"! And now you have 55 more chickens for free, and meant to be consumed.

lots of dogs and cats being given away also, if you are asian or really hungry!
