I've seen these before. Look pretty simple to make.

I want some of them spinner blades though. I don't even use them that much, but I can appreciate a custom painted fishing item.

I'd buy

I'm not sure I can actually tell when BB is bouncing as it should and not dragging on the bottom. That's fisherman error, I know.

My deal is, you let it drag long enough, and pretty soon it's laying flat on it's side and mucking up the whole works.

Basically...it's impossible to run BBs on drop-offs, right? Or humps?

Are you pulling a ¼ oz bouncer at 2mph ????

Run a 1oz. bouncer at about .8mph in 10-15 FOW and then tell me you can’t feel the bottom

I pull allot of BBs on sak I can do it anywhere 1st thing if your plan is to just put the pole in the holder and roll your not doin it Right ...I jig my bb I never put my rod down unless it's to grab the deadstick that I usually put a Lindy and slow death on and let it be but bbing to be successful you need to be in the strike zone not dragging not suspended but bouncing and it is easy when always adjusting like jigging

go big or go home sometimes. get yourself in the wind hopping humps or pulling up, over, then down a point in 25+ feet of water and 2 oz won't seem like enough.

I always run 2oz in the front of the boat and 1.5 for the back of the boat. sometimes even lighter depending how the fish are relating to the "boat pressure", and how far the fish are swimming to the sides of the boat. Im not afraid to run a 3oz also, when I mark fish I want my presentation near them.

1oz hell most of the time i am at 2 and last year for some reason 3 and even 4 oz were producing in deeper water

Duckslayer,

1.5 to 2.5 oz bottom bouncers on your two lines closest to the boat, the angle of your fishing line should be pretty steep, like diving into the water at a 60 degree angle or better.

5/8 to 1 oz bottom bouncers for your lines going farther back behind the boat, on these the line should intercept the water at something between around 20-30 degrees.

Speed and depth are a consideration here as well. I rarely pull a BB with a spinner at greater than 1.5 mph on purpose.

For the life of me, I still don't get the BB/spinner combo snobs out there. It's a great way to put numbers of fish in the boat and doesn't take a finesse rod, or years of practice. While I understand the allure of pitching jigs and cranks, there is not much more relaxing than drifting a nice secluded shoreline with a pretty gal in the boat and a couple of lines in the water.

Pitching jigs on the river with a 7 yr old is a great way to teach them how to hate fishing.
