For those that make their own spinner rigs, how do you set them up?

I used to buy the cheaper, more dull, blades, but now am a big advocate of shiny, flashy, and somewhat noisy.

What blades, beads, line, etc ... do you use?

Lengths? Any other info?

Thanks!

generally only buy hammered ones. sometimes I paint just the outside and leave the shiny metal on the inside. I made a fluid bed and am going to powder coat a bunch many different ways. I bought 750 blades off ebay this winter for .04 cents a piece. Beads and hooks galore too. I'm going to powder coat hooks also. hard to find painted hooks in bulk. I usually use #2,#3 colorado's. 8# mono. 5-6' leaders. I always use quick change clevis's so I can swap on different blades quickly. Always carry many loose blades in the boat. I usually have fifty to seventy five spinner/ lindy rigs in the boat all the time.
