Tailrace water temp

Corp website says water temps been 62-58 degrees all week. Seems crazy warm for this time of year. Can't imagine the fish are feeling the need to feed heavy yet. Two weeks ago it was 54. Does this possibly have something to do with the lake turning over?

Yes it does. It’ll continue to go down now as the weather cools and the sun’s strength drops.

temp goes up as the lake turns over, then starts going down.

water comes out of the bottom of the lake at the tailrace.

Turnover temp would be around 39 degrees fahrenhiet (maximum density of water). Depending on wind direction, warmer water may be pushed down on leeward side of lake, and colder water pulled to surface on windward side.
