Was just curious if it's possible to get a boat in and head toward the power plant? Is there any concerns as far water depth as it fluctuates at night time. Was gonna try and make it up one of these nights also if it would be worth it as far as the walleye bite goes this time of year. Thanks in advance

Once in the chute bottom hazards are not to bad especially once your half way up. The west shore in the area of the mouth is quite shallow and rocky. Downstream is nothing short of a mine field especially the west side and I would definitely not try it at night till you have learned it in the daytime. The corp will be stepping up releases over the next couple weeks so that should help some for improving navigation.

I have been there before a couple years ago, as long as it hasn't changed too much I should remember. Usually stuck close to the east shore. Would there be much fish action of any kind at this point in the year?

If your headed to the power plant down river at Stanton in the dark without GPS trails you'd have one heck of a story to tell. :)

5575 is right. Even my dad and his friends who could run that section of river with their eyes closed and hopped up on whip it's wouldn't. If you want to fish upa, put in at upa. You'll be glad you drove a little extra.

Correct on the power house, not upa. Made my way up there last night, had no problems navigating, really shallow off the dock like usual. Fished a couple different ways up by the chutes with no luck.
