2 years ago I hunted in the Killdeer Mtn WMA, I constantly had to grab ticks off of me while hunting there; never seen anything like it, over a 100 on several days

What kind of ticks are you seeing? The larger "dog"ticks or "deer" ticks? also called black legged ticks, curious as my area is invested with deer ticks.I burn my tall grass areas around my house, fire dang near got away from last weekend burning for ticks and clearing brush,no hose but my 4wheeler and 5gal buckets saved my ass otherwise the neighbors pole barn would've went up,bad enough my shed started on fire....all this to kill ticks.

Comes with the territory I guess. Killed a few this weekend while after turkeys, but nothing serious. I'd rather have ticks than skeeters.

I wonder if a good slathering of Tempo once a month wouldn't deter them?

Hopefully not together. Unless the trusted co-worker is a single gal.

If forced to go where the ticks are, I can see Wags going to one of those spas where they goo you up with some sort of combination Mexican jumping bean, Alabama collared greens, and Asian lilly petals then wrap you in plastic and then just leaving, with the plastic still on to keep the ticks off his skin.

Dog got one two weeks ago. Wife found it this weekend. It was stone dead and partially full of blood. Dogs haven't been on tick meds since November. Anyone know why that happened? I've found dead ticks after they've been on tick meds for awhile, but never months removed.

I pulled two off me a week and a half ago. HATE ticks. Still suffer from lingering lymes disease.
