Ban,i could careless about this app but if this ban passes whats next? All these ev's manufactured by ccp,shipped to our country,further the Chinese has a big chunk of our "Drone" uav business, already chatter banning one Chinese drone manufacturer (DJI).

Saw an article just a couple days ago noting that Chinese made cranes at a port in California (LA??) were found to have cameras hidden in them. I guess China wants to keep an eye on pretty much every part of American life.

Note, the federal government already has strict rules on security cameras and the like at federal facilities. They've found lots of security risks built in with the suspected reasoning that the Chinese Communist Party and military are getting feeds from those cameras.

James Madison makes a good point. If they are so concerned with our data, why haven't they done anything to Zuckerberg or Musk? Those two dudes have the same level of access to us as Tik Tok, they can track us in real time through their apps, so why no ban on FBook, Insta, or The App Formerly Known as Twitter? Is it because the US Gov isn't able to put the squeeze on the owners of Tik Tok to give them info on users like they can with Zuck and Elmo?
