Has anyone used the suffix v coat tipup line?? Curious on pros/cons?. Thanks in advance

I much prefer the vinyl/pvc coated tip up lines by HT, Cortland etc.. The coated stuff doesn't freeze or tangle like the normal braided line, way easier to deal with when your out on the ice freezing your fingers.

Put Suffix pvc coated line on tip-ups this weekend and took the 8 and 9 year old son and daughter out to Carpenter Lake. 3/4 of a bag of smelt and 3 hrs later the kids still didn't have a cut on their hands from fighting three to seven pound pike.

For northerns just spool up with 225lb orange nylon cord .... my buddy has that on all of his and out fishes my black 40lb Dacron all the time.

Suffix is some good stuff. I use that or a braid higher than 100# test. I hate tip up cuts on my finger
