In response to the tree chopper I posted in the haha's thread. I finally came across this.

A forestry prof told me the most dangerous part of that job is if the top when falling splits the lower part of the tree. Years ago the belt went around the man and a split tree would squish the guy. Today the belts clip into D rings left and right.
