I drove by Carpenter a week ago. I did not drive to the access ramp, but there was 2 pickups sitting there. It is easy to drive on Metigoshe, just have to watch for hard drifts like always. Assuming Carpenter would be the same once on.

Assuming Carpenter access is OK. We haven't had a lot of snow and quite a bit has melted. What's left is pretty hard. Don't know why, but I've actually never heard of Broom Lake. Last time I was to Upsilon there were vehicles driving so Carpenter should be about the same. Trout is the only species in Hooker that I know of.

None of these lakes have been leaked to the media as possible sites for an H-bomb detonation. That's something. The fish would be killed. Consider the shoal bass in Georgia:

I guess they're not SM:

Sport Fish: Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Walleye
Fishery Status: Good pike population, with most fish longer than 21 inches. Fair walleye population with mostly bigger sized fish. Lower perch numbers with some 7-9-inches.
Current Elevation: 2189.6 Max Depth: 16.5 Shoreline Miles: 9

Hooker Lake
Directions:8 miles west of St. John
Sport Fish: Rainbow Trout, Tiger Trout
Fishery Status: Trout stocked annually and reach maximum size in fall. Currently, some older, larger trout available due to lack of winterkill in recent years. Trout ranged from 10-20 inches in the 2023 netting survey. Tiger trout (brown/brook trout cross) are low in abundance.

No results on Broom. Different name?
