The Roughriders would make for funny costumes and sayings for sure. I know of a couple High Schools who are the Trojans, and that provides entertainment. There was just a story here in MN of some students getting in some trouble with their sexual innuendos.

I favor no more "fighting" anything. I've been a graduate of both the fighting dutchmen and the fighting sioux and both have or soon to be will have lost to the political correctness war. Spirit was submitted by a dear friend of mine and I wish him well with that. I favor just plain old North Dakota as it tends to give notice to our state when the news media or announcers mention the name. However some announcers (namely when we used to play the Gophers) shorten it up a bit to NoDaks and I hate that more than the other 14 choices...

Wow. Hopefully they just shut it down and go with North Dakota. There were some awesome choices on the list that didn't make the final cut. I suspect 'Go Sioux' will live on.
