I once again have a house cat, and feel cornered into feeding it.

Minus the kicker isn’t that what that boat costs new?

I believe some of you might have the impression that you are being criticized for wanting a newer boat. I think what the criticism is (criticism isn't a good word, more like disbelief) is that the new boats people are buying are massively big with massive payments. Whatever happened to being satisfied with the 16, 17 foot aluminum boat in the 20 to 30 k range? I know they exist because they have them at the dealerships. It seems like now the norm is that 20+ foot boat with a 250 or 300 horse on it. I understand not wanting an older, junky boat but there are plenty of boats that are not junk but also not crazy price. However, I understand this thread is about the cost of boats and that boats in this range are commanding a higher price.

id be willing to bet a fair number of the guys here spend money on chew and smokes...... while at the same time giving a person a bad time about 3.5% interest rate on a boat. seems to me there both dumping money into something that makes them happy eh??

its pretty easy to manage other peoples money until they flip the table on you

fish on.

They are offering 3.5% interest rates on boats? Even on 10-15 year loans? If so that isn’t so bad of an interest rate

thats starting to sound like a mortgage interest rate --- they bounced back up. That and the price of osb seams to be holding.

That's true and that's the problem for most.

High income people will pay way over a reasonable amount, so the sellers gouge and the average guy is fucked.

Not just boats either.
