Well with how bad the storms have been the last couple nights it looks like your turn will be tonight and the atmosphere is the most unstable day of all. Never good sign when you see a couple of these heading north up 83. This one is from last week just outside of Baker MT but saw two with some chaser vehicle's going north this morning.

Flipping humid again. Thankfully the trucks are not in the bismarck area. Lots of hail damage here already.

This vehicle is not that important. Is the jackass going to stop the storm?

No its a DOW Doppler On Wheels. They chase storms with them so they can get up close then scan the storm so they can get high resolution data on storms to better understand how they work especially when it comes to tornados. You only see these in your area if it's going to get bad such as last weekend when they were scanning this guy.FB_IMG_1465770943261.jpg

I realize that. I don't believe they need to cruise the left lane to accomplish this.

He's not cruising the left lane he's passing. They are ballsier with how close they get then we are so as the truck slowed to pull off they went past to get closer. That's highway 7 in Montana.

I stand corrected. I don't know how that's possible but rock n' roll to the extreme.

You talking about the one I posted? If so that's not their pick it's ours. Buddy took it as the twister was going through baker. This is us circled in yellow. It definitely makes us look closer then we were.

Nothing up north last night. Surprised the kiddos didn't wake up. Some small pea hail for 3 min or so.

A little hail, wind, and somewhere between a half, and 3/4's of an inch of rain in about a half hour last night at 2 in the morning. In the late 80's when I was a roofer, a hail storm went through between Douglas, and Garrison. The farmstead we redid all of the roofs on had grapefruit size or bigger hail come through. The farmer had to crawl between the duels of the tractor in the Quonset as the hail was coming through the steel roof sheets, and crawl up into the attic of his house to get them out before they melted and screwed up the sheetrock.
