Correct. Seems to be algae-related coloration. Seen some blue perch as well.Not the blue walleye specie (s. vitreus glaucus) theyre extinct. Theres a few minnesota lakes that produce a blue color variation of walleye.
Ha! I was looking for more of a big famous recognised lake name to label that colored eye on a plaque. I know pretty much all those canadian shield lakes with stained water have dark eyes. Ill probably go with lake vermillion.
Erie had blue walleyes but there's some canadian lakes that still claim they exist.
