What lakes can you catch zander on in ND?

I was once told that it is common for restaurants to have walleye on the menu but actually serve zander. Maybe you have eaten it without knowing

I don't believe I've ever eaten walleye in a restaurant.

OK, maybe 2-3 times over quite a few years. So probably not a real great chance of it. Most of the walleye in restaurants come out of commercial fishing operations in Canada.
