I just did 2300 mile trip out to ID in my 2015 Sierra 1500. 2000 miles was interstate driving 80-85 up and down mountains out to Spokane. The other 300 was driving in mountains with a pop-up camper behind me and box full of gear. I had a good combination of head and tail winds throughout the trip. Total trip average was 18 MPG. There were long stretches i was getting 21-22 while doing 85. Of course going that fast over the numerous mountain passes also killed my MPG for overall average. With 6,000 miles on my truck, 3000 town/2500 hwy/500 pulling boat. I have an overall of 16.5. About what i was hoping for i guess.
