Excellent news for all of us. Here's hoping for an accurate prediction.

Just in time for the weekend. Guess I'll tie up spinners/lindys and paint some lures.

Here's hoping they are low. The way this one is set up as a slow soaker give me four or five inches to soak in deep and get a bit of runoff to help the ponds and lakes.

Anything under 4 inches is just a cruel tease IMO, but I'll take anything I can get right now.

I see numerous references on weather forums that this summer could be similar to summer 2012 and should see La Nina conditions develop late summer/early fall

Find the good cover sheltered areas near were they like to strut. Most times they will tuck up in that area and if your there ahead of them it can be quite good albeit a bit spooky since they tend to come in dead silent and from what ever direction your not looking.

Keep your fingers crossed. Hopefully we will get a couple of inches. Sounds like a fairly good chance of rain Friday thru next Tuesday. I was out digging holes for fence posts recently and some of the holes were dry 36 inches down.

Good thing commodity prices are in the tank I guess. I mean, if there's a silver lining, a poor harvest could cause prices to creep back up.

Not ideal, obviously, and I wish no ill-will on the farmers here. But we've been in a 20-plus-year wet cycle. Drought is/was coming at some point...
