Ha Ha! Touché! I could counter that argument with that I’d bet the snowbirds that can afford to spend the winter fishing and UTV’ing in Arizona can do so,because they didn’t spend their money on unnecessary expensive stuff like $800 Yeties, and numerous other fancy toys we read about, instead invested it, and now can afford to retire! Most snowbirds I know are pretty darned frugal! Kidding you, but it’s more of a choice of priorities......blow it now or think about investing it and afford to blow a lot more later! Besides, I’d sooner stay in the sun and catch redears and stripers than come home to our small house a month earlier and have to retire my 20 year old Coleman! LOL

A Yeti would look pretty good in the back of that UTV and just imagine how long it will keep those Ensures cold and refreshing;-)

i get it, but you really did t it up for me there...:D

it's all relative really... i explained a few years ago here on another thread how i had a construction company and my $300 yeti paid for itself AND saved me $500 in ice the first year i had it... the savings have bought me a few more over the years... wish everything was made like they are... for the weekend weekend warrior - prolly not worth it, but for me it was... have never had anything but an anvil stand up to what they have over the last few years and my kids will fight over them some day...

can't wait for the tannerite vids of rangers, lunds, crestliners, alumacrafts, yars, mercury, honda, evinrude, johnson, minnkota, motorguide, lowrance, humminbird, garmin, chevy, ford, dodge, ram, toyota, nissan... getting blown up the next few months... yeti has donated or discounted (i would bet) millions over the years to the nra, (applause held), and i cannot find donations or even relationships with any of the brands listed above... time to buy stock in tannerite - unless that's different... hmmmmm...

anyway, carry on bob and enjoy your retirement...

These companies never once endorsed NRA probably because they don't have much to do with a gun. Just a guess. But I bet if they did and they cut and ran I bet they would see some back lash. See people don't like to a buy a product when they say this product is endorsed or stands by ect ect and then go back on their word.

If I don’t buy a Yeti I am a smart money manager, if I do purchase one I won’t be able to laugh at the yeti owners while wintering in warmer climates. Well shit, just one more thing I have done wrong. I guess my dad was right about waste not want not. However I don’t ever recall anyone asking for anything but an ice cold Busch light, like “hey John throw me one of those sun baked, piss warm, skunky Busch lights. Haha

All this makes me want to blow this months commissions on Lamborghini hunting trucks.

millions of $$$$????

prove it

i can't, only yeti could prove that if they wanted to...

my point here is that a company that has supported an organisation for years is now being ostracized for reducing, changing, or stopping the support going forward - kinda like what happens every time welfare cuts are proposed... the people footing the bill are never thanked for their past contribution, just ostracized for wanting to reduce it...

this whole thing has really gone wacky left in my eyes (from a very conservative group) and is really surprising to me...

Lamborghini hunting trucks come with built in Yeti coolers and other frivolous non-retiring down south features such as lift kits and stacks. White sunglasses and high maintenance trophy wife/girlfriend optional but encouraged.

Hah hah! Good point, John. Warm Beer - yuk!! I have an idea for when our new Lamborghini hunting vehicles arrive. When my new Lamborghini pickup is delivered, I wonder if some landowners will resent it and not let me hunt!. Aha, always the schemer - I‘ll just let them go drive it while I go shoot ditch parrots and 198 scoring deer. Better have a governor set at 200 mph for those rural gravel roads when those ranchers put the pedal to the metal.

Ahab, how about pop up self blood draining dead deer carriers with automatic wash downs like windshield squirters? And built in gun rests and AR15 racks? Winch of course, but White sunglasses?,. You mean I’d have to give up my $19.95 over the bifocals under the thinning grey hair alongside the over the ear hearing aids Wal Mart sunglasses that all we snowbirds wear. The ones that we call “AARP Oaklies” and make us look dorky!!? Maybe they come in white!? I already have the best wife in the world so I’ll pass on the trophy girlfriend.

Don’t worry about the NRA losing support. Today’s paper reports that following the last school shooting and the resulting anti gun outcry, they raised 2.5 million, about 1.5 million more than the usual months legislative fundraising.
in contrast, the amounts of money raised by anti gun groups was ridiculously low, Most antigun organizations reported in the 10-15 thousand range.
So the sky isn’t falling when it comes to NRA fundraising. Shows that a lot of gun owners are willing to put their money where their mouth is. Most contributions they report were from the little guys, and average about $200.00.
Still, like Yamamoto said after Pearl Harbor about worrying that they woke the sleeping dog, there is a huge neutral middle of the road sleeping dog majority out there that might wake up if or when mass shootings continue. Sorry, off topic.......

So now what? Start buying my clothes from the Amish? Let's start a list of the places nodakangler members approved businesses/ companies.

That would probably be a good lesson for us all about the eye of the beholder. My parents taught me to spend money wisely but what is wisely ? Every fall we used to go to Deloraine Manitoba and stock up on bulk supplies like flour , sugar, Brown Sugar I forget what all... Prices were cheaper , There were no taxes and I'm sure there was exchange rate . Was that wise ?

Who wants to be in charge of the smell test ?

History is interesting, Aaron M Ward, Richard Sears and Curt Roebuck helped build small towns with the same idea as Sam walton.

It's fun to thumb through our reproduction 1902 Sears and Roebuck catalog and dream.
