They were paid for the land they lost. Are they going to pay that back? Does anyone know if they were also given other land to compensate for this land when it was lost? If it's like Spirit Lake I believe they are buying back land and giving it to the Indians who had previously sold it. What a gig.

I suspect the Obama administration is getting the "to do" list completed, this land transfer is probably on the list. I wonder if the Oahe transfer is going to happen before Trump takes over

You really are the standing rock expert(jk) if you think that was slipping through the back door since we've been talking about it on here since this site was founded and for a year or two before on fishing buddy. Tim has started a couple threads about this and updates them every time there was any change and this made local news numerous times!
