Anybody planning on bringing a side dish or chips or whatever. Mama KDM wants kind of an idea so she doesn't double up on something. I'll be smoking a brisket along with a chicken or two. Will bring 10# fresh garden taters baker size or what ever you want to use them for. Have to thin out onions so will bring 5# of them. Smoked almonds and home made beef sticks, mild flavor not hot. Will be there about noon on Sat. So you can put me to work.

KDM--I'm sure you gonna be a fine host once again this year, not going to make it, after driving 1,440 miles over a course of 3 weeks training in Mandan, I think I hit my quota for traveling for the month of July...lol So hope every one has a good time, but stay safe from the heat and be safe on the water as well. KInda disappointed that I couldn't hook up with the bismarck fellas during my time in Mandan...everyone is so dang busy.

DATE/TIME:
Saturday 07/22/2017 fishing will start at 11:00am (please show up at least an hour early if possible)

PLACE:
The event will be held on the pristine shores and blue/green waters of Lake Ashtabula (Baldhill Dam) in SE Central ND at Sundstrom’s Landing which is approximately 3 miles north of the dam on the eastside.
There is a shelter and two picnic tables, a fishing pier, and boat ramp.
RULES
This will be an individual event. Participants will be allowed to fish from boat or shore. There will be an approximate fishing time of four hours.
The emphasis of the event will be the catching of Bullheads with categories for heaviest (length as tiebreaker), total weight, most fish caught and smallest.
Ashtabula offers many other fish species, anglers may catch and keep all other fish in accordance with NDGF guidelines.
There will be categories for all other species of fish inhabiting the Ashtabula waters.
All anglers are encouraged to provide their own stringers/buckets for fish totals
Prizes given away in each category will depend on the amount of donations received.
As this is not a sanctioned "tournament" there is no entry fee and prizes will consist of donations obtained by other NDA members. Anyone with donations or donation ideas can PM KDM or martinslanding.

*Keep in mind this is all about bragging rights
　After the event NDA member KDM has offered to host the official weigh in　and post gathering gala at Fort KDM. There will be food, shelter and consuming of beverages all who attended are welcome.

I may have par-took in plenty of the schnapps last year. Tasted peppermint for about a day later.

Where's the beef you ask???? It's right here at Fort KDM and is on deck for a 12 or so hour soak in the smoker. Should be plenty for everyone!! Hope it turns out!!

That cow would be about 6 tons to give up a licker that big. It's an 18 lb Brisket beggin' to be toasted and roasted. Should be good!!

Wish I could be there. On my way to Wisconsin to see my granddaughter and the people she lives with. i will have a curd and a spotted cow in honor of those who battle the brindle.
