One week ago you could have drove a semi on her now she's has only a day or two to live. Definitely the fastest the ice has gone from good to damn near gone. Hopefully no one does anything to stupid out there basing their decision on what they saw the last time they were out on a particular lake......this is one weird year.

Did breakup reach Yates yesterday? It looked to be close on the satellite but hard to tell for sure. Looks like beaver is also just about done back in the bay as well.

I was watching the NASA Worldview sat link and it was amazing to see Lake Oahe all the way to the dam in Pierre SD lose its ice in about 48 hours.

Would think with the temps and wind this week she should move pretty fast...shorelines all the way down thru New Town should start opening up later this week.

What's the quickest the big lakes have opened up and gone from 20 to 30 inches of ice to wide open with this kind of quick warm up?

Last night the east side of the Lake was open right across from Yates. You could have launched at Cattail Bay and went North. This morning was even more open, and with the wind today....Its going fast fast fast. I'm going to we a line this weekend for sure. May head to Ft. Rice or PKC...if their ramp is open.
