Thanks for the pictures at the Confluence Brian. That power pole where all the ice got pushed up to is alongside the boat ramp. I sure hope that something gives soon and the ice can just start flowing and relieving the pressure so all that water can flow. Could be hard for NDGF to be out on the fiver tagging Paddlefish mid April with all this water backed up way into Montana.

Locked up again, ish. Just had an emergency notice going out saying the Missouri is now rising fast and people near it should get out.

Why so high -- did you guys get that much snow??

Combination of a lot of things, most of all when you dam up a river with 3 feet thick pieces of ice the water needs to go somewhere. Lets keep in mind there is water in places that is unheard of right now. Just talked to a 90 year old regular and he said this has never happened, not even close.

I had heard the water was high, but had no idea to what severity until I read this thread. Bad deal.

The Missouri? Aren't you more worried about the Yellowstone?

Yes the Yellowstone is the problem at the moment, north of here now they are evacuating homes near the Missouri because of a huge amout of water on the way.

As far as the Yellowstone goes now people are measuring decreases in the water level then a mile down the road increases, almost like the jam and area is getting wider instead of longer, not good. Hopefully the sun does some big damage to this ice in the upcoming hours.

Here is a little more of the concern about the Missouri: UPDATE: Richland County DES reached out to DNRC to get clarification on the Missouri River report. The Missouri River at Culbertson crested at midnight last night - water peaked 8-10' within the past 4-5 days. The flow is moving through the system with ice still intact. (not broken up). The river will continue to rise and either jam along the Missouri or flow to the Confluence and either jam or push the ice out from the Confluence which will cause an impact downstream and people should be aware of their surroundings at all times and be ready to evacuate at a moments notice. I have volunteers calling folks that live along the Missouri River and if you know someone, please let them know this information as some folks do not have social media. Thank you!

I sure hope Mother Nature breaks this jam up in a hurry from the Confluence east to the Hwy 85 bridge. I'm sure the pumphouse area must be well underwater.

I sure would like to be there and witness what happens once she breaks loose.

So with all the flooding into the fields west of Mandan, can a guy go pitch a couple jigs in there, being that it is public water, or does a guy need to ask permission to fish? asking for a friend.

Totally joking. Just trying to add some humor to a bad situation.

Ice is moving at the confluence, ton of water headed for Williston in the next couple days. Nothing receding here yet but at least some things are moving. Governor is supposed to be here in the am, a declaration would come in handy.

Water is way up by silent,Nd over the hi way. They are evacuating everyone along the Moreau I hope a bunch of ice breaks up. There is about 2 feet of water under the snow all around my house glad I built it up and with positive drainage. Neighbors are not as lucky
