I could be wrong but i think when i used to load 30-06 with imr 4350 i probably could have done that and been just fine as the cases were pretty much full to the top. Been awhile so i could be wrong as i used to load some with 3031 i think and a few other powders dad had laying around.

Not sure if it's been said in this thread yet but if i remember from loading for my 300blk subsonic you are always supposed to start on the high side and work down for powder charge.

I'm running 10.5 gr of IMR-4227 in my 300 Blackout And 190gr bullet. I have never had a 300 Blackout short cycle running subsonic rounds. To me the 300 Blackout is the best round for cycling in a AR platform. It doesn't matter if it's subsonic or supersonic .

Try that with blue dot and let me know how that is for ya.

I plan to keep shots under 200 yards, because of my rifling issue, Im going to aim for 1500fps so that will help also. Subsonic would have been fun to try, but it will still be pretty quiet with my suppressor. I will be hunting with neighbors close so I want to keep velocity and sound down.

Pulled the trigger on this last week, $620 with tax, free shipping from Buds. 1/7 twist should stabilize most things at subsonic speed, hopefully. Should be pretty quiet even supersonic with a suppressor. Im aiming for something I can shoot on my 40 acres without bothering the neighbors too much, in a fairly populated rural area outside bismarck.

Picked up some ammo to play with also, as I dont have dies or brass yet...

I have the bolt action AR-15 in 300 Blackout. I loaded up some Hornady Sub-X 190 gr. Shooting 960 fps and they are really quiet. I shot a Buck last fall right behind the shoulder at 200 yds and blew right thru him.
