it's all how you prepare it...pheasant and venison for that matter are both very healthy but if you bacon wrap it and deep fry it you might as well be eating cheese curds too

You have to balance diet and exercise. All good tips above regarding what foods to eat and what to stay away from. Find some form of exercise that works for you. Take the stairs whenever you can, etc. Even something as simple as riding a bike a few nights a week will make a huge difference.

Always pay attention to saturated fats and high fructose corn syrup. If there's a lot of that in something, stop eating it.

Men's Health magazine has a lot of good tips for healthy food and easy exercise routines. Something you might want to check out for ideas.

yes - and we hit it off magically

remember?

You cleaned my walleyes. You left a bone. I like to think it was a subtle message.

Sorry guy. Apparently I just have a wild hair up my ass today and am pissing everyone off. Going on a self-imposed timeout. Laters.

Limit to 1800 calories per day and try to lose 2 lbs per week. Not easy but I do it about every 2 years when my weight creeps back up because I start eating too much after awhile.

Everyone is different with regards to their caloric needs. 1,800 may work for you, but he may be better at 2,500. All depends on the person.

depends on how fat you are, if you burn more calories than you take in you will loose weight.

I know you're not married yet, but, screwing is good exercise that involves both of you and theoretically both of you should enjoy.

it is the womans role and duty to be thin and vibrant, the man must be big and strong.

mrs johnr needs to maintain, I need my strength.

They make bigger man pants for a reason.

Eat drink and be merry, life IS a dress size, and unless you wear a dress you are fine.

Actually a pretty good idea. That way you'll get enough before the wedding to last you a lifetime

That's what caused a lot of weddings back in my day (no pill, condoms, etc. just old socks and such)

Old socks only worked on Kim Cattrall in the 1st Porky's.

Simplify first. Calories in, calories out (burned). It's really pretty simple. Manage your intake and burn more than you consume. I can eat relatively healthy (but far from perfect) while exercising a lot and I can really lean up quick. But, that last 5# is the hardest to overcome, I am dealing with it now. Luckily I like to exercise- I have ran a sub 1:30 half marathon and enjoyed training for it. I also like to swim & bike. Some of my best fitness came during training periods where I would do a workout in the morning (swim or lift) and then a run in the evening. To me it really comes down to the effort you will put into your exercise- go hard!

I am not a great eater either. First, you gotta eat breakfast. It makes your meals later in the day smaller. Also, eat small snacks during the day instead of large meals. I try to eat a spinach salad with as many meals as possible- helps fill me up. And as others have said, limit processed foods.

I am 100 days out from my wedding too. Really pouring the coals to the exercise and am eating with more discipline.

Pheasant isn't bad in some dishes but it can get dry depending on prep. Marinades help with all wild game but keep them cleaner too. It all adds up. I have made lots of adjustments in diet that I never thought I would because of my fiancé. Most have been very positive.

Good luck!

Just remember you don't have to fit in a set size dress. She is gonna marry you no matter how much you weigh. Stay away from the soda, sugar ,starches , potatoes, and breads. If you do that you can eat all the red meat you want!
