other than the fact i know the linx one it a few times at some point in the last decade or two, i couldn't name a single WNBA champion. without trying real hard, i could name a single other "mascot" other than linx and fever.

Cc is just a white American playing a game dominated by non white athletes, the fact that she is receiving so much negative news, is the real reason I think she is amazing. Cc is going to shatter every record by the time she is done playing, it's unfortunate that the wnba as a busnines hasn't embraced the popularity of a down the earth player that many Americans can get behind and support not only her team but all woman's sports. A true role model for all females to strive to be a positive influence on others, that's why people including me compare her to greats of decades ago who played lights out every game and kept the noise of the world out. No politics, no negative reactions just play the game. She should be admired by everyone who puts on one shoe/boot at a time to strive to be a better human being. America has been waiting a very long time for a certain individual who has the charisma like Cc to make the sport of basketball fun to watch again. Its crazy but then again we are talking about a species that strives on animosity to get ahead rather then talents they were born with.

I'm fairly positive you don't know what sports are from reading your posts over the past few months. I don't disagree that Caitlin will probably break a lot of records and is a great role model for young girls.

This is why I like the CC story. Roughly 16,000 extra butts in seats. Maybe this leads to the WNBA not being subsidized? She has completely changed how her teammates play the game, and 100% for the better. Other teams are going to have to change to keep up. Some of those heifers better start working on speed and agility, or they are going to just be an embarrassment, which they kind of are now, leading to all the bitching, moaning and flagrant fouls on Clark. Knocking her to the ground makes it easier to keep up. Like Tonya Harding taking out Nancy Kerrigan's leg. I guess the gang banging WNBA thugs are from the, "If you can't beat em, beat them" school. It's a success story, so far. It is just nice to see a positive story reported by the media when we all know how much they like a bad news story.
