    Praise the rain

We need it here in Bsmk. I don't need it out west. But I know it is the best thing for the good of the order and the timing is near perfect for a post-planting soaker.

    Growing Raspberry Bushes

This was great advise. I sent Dr. Hatterman-Valenti an email and thought I'd share her response..... .....I began to wonder if you were considering purple raspberries as well as red raspberries. Most of the purples are hardy enough for North Dakota and have crown growth instead of the creeping...

    Scent Eliminator vs. Cover Scent

I agree that ultimately this is the best.

    Your "Fish On" Expressions

When I hook into one I'll yell out, "The green hornet strikes again Gustafson"!

    Scent Eliminator vs. Cover Scent

I'm sold on it. I may have to cook up a couple different batches this year depending on where I hunt. Having sweet clover everywhere last year was nice. We have a smelly ass slough near by but that may be too much for a guy to handle. Buckmaster the ones you listed along with sweet clover are...

    Scent Eliminator vs. Cover Scent

I've always thought it was as scam that as hunters we spend a ton of $$ trying to cover our scent with all the sprays that are available out there, rather that try to smell like the area we are hunting. I got an idea from someone who hunts near an active pasture.... he puts cow dung on his...

    List of possible UND nicknames

I certainly trust the committee and Karl. However, I believe the final decision lies with comrade Kelly.

    Early season scouting

You know how deer love to get into a garden. I bought a variety of garden seeds at walmart. Going to plant a perimeter around my brassicas of squash, radishes, carrots...etc. Pretty cheap.

Those little fawns are so damn cute a guy wonders how they ever get to be so good tasting.

    Early season scouting

I am in the same boat at KDM. I am going to plant a 1 acre area of brassicas by each deer stand this year. I cant wait to see how putting out a salad bar works out.

    List of possible UND nicknames

I was up late reading the "not being considered" list. Funny stuff. The names on the "being considered" list are all non-starters. What makes me nervous is that the administration at UND does not give two squirts of piss about the alumni or our great ND history. They want this issue over ASAP...

    Early season scouting

I'm in the exact same place. Food plots get planted on Mon/Tues next week. Trail cams will go up Tuesday night. Now you got me itching to bow hunt and we still have 4 months to go!!

Do you believe tournament anglers have "squatters rights"?

The guys I know who fish tournaments are all good guys. That being said there are a few dicks out there though. When you go golfing, do we let the guys who play in tournaments play the holes in what ever order they want to or play the same hole over-and-over? Nope. These guys are no...

    Growing Raspberry Bushes

I think when Lincoln Oakes/NRCS has their sale here in a couple weeks they will have bare root ones there.... at least they did last year. Transplanting can be tricky business especially if there is any size to the plant. We transplanted some trees from the lake and our survival rate has been...

    Growing Raspberry Bushes

Funny you say that. The research I've done talks about using healthy soil with a good nutrient level. I want to say I've heard they like a certain PH range, but I can't find any information to support it. They will be going into virgin soil so I should be good as far as nutrient levels.

    Growing Raspberry Bushes

When I retire I want to be able to go outside, take a leak of my deck and pick a bowel of fresh raspberries and cream for breakfast. Looking at planting a 40 foot length of Raspberry bushes and been doing some research. What do you guys recommend for variety? How many berries will I get from 20...

    John Crockett. NDSU RB

Absolute disgrace even attempting to put an NDSU player in a Packer jersey. Lombardi just rolled over in his grave. ;)
