coming to Bismarck to pick up fish to mount...

The bowfin. I have an agent in MN helping me. This woman is a bowfin catching machine. She just can't seem to break the 5 lb mark but she'll do it or I will this summer.

$1 Certificate charge on new license purchase

Should we leave all taxes on the books that no longer serve the purpose they were intended for? - - - Updated - - - It's not an agent fee. By law, an agent can't charge a fee. The rule has been in place since everyone was paying in cash.

$1 Certificate charge on new license purchase

Seems like a relic law from the old "yellow sheet" days. Won't be repealed unless its brought up to our legislators.

$1 Certificate charge on new license purchase

I'm guessing I could call and ask from the lawmakers and the G&F and wouldn't get a clear answer as to where that money is going. $1/resident, $2 per NR.

I had never heard of that lake. Had to look it up. Walleye are low light feeders so early mornings, evenings and choppy water (windy days) are generally best. Off the top of me head, lead head jigs from shore with white Mr. Twister tails have been good to me. Leeches below bobbers or lindy rigs...

$1 Certificate charge on new license purchase

I just looked at the century code. Just says that $1 for the certificate and the agent can't charge you for the service sooo, I would say you have a good question. I just always in the back of mind chalked it up to some sort of habitat stamp/fee but nope, that is clearly different.
