    boat trailer psa

I have oil bath hubs and would not get another trailer without them, they are awesome. My question is why the hubs became loose in the first place. Isn't there a pin that runs through and holds the packing nut so it can't come loose?

New FBO in "a few days"

This site was built directly as a result of people fed up with FBO, so bitching about it is natural. This will die down with time as people forget about FBO and their lame attempts to elevate to NDA standards. The reputation and ignore features work excellent to squash all negativity that...

    Lake trout tips

Get a large Kastmaster lure and a Little Cleo. They are John Gillespie's favorites for lakers! I use these same lures on a smaller scale for Winnipeg walleye too.

New FBO in "a few days"

You nailed it KDM! This site is awesome, and the members can police it themselves. Vollmer did an awesome job putting it all together. It has been a pleasure dealing with people on this site, everyone seems to be on their best behavior......hope it doesn't change.

    What a Zander!!!

Why do the fish get so big in Europe? The pike, the zander.....they even have perch that would make a Devil's Lake perch look like a minnow.

Power Pro, Fire Line or ???

Put a bead above the swivel to keep it from smacking into your rod tip. They make these soft, glow-in-the-dark beads as well you put above your leader for night musky fishing to keep from doing that very thing in the dark.

    ion auger

Damn transducers have cost me more than a few fish. I guess without it, though, I wouldn't have caught near as many to get off in the first place.

    ion auger

Multiple 10 pounders in our group have come through the ice on an 8 inch hole with barbless hooks and no problems. Apparently not many have used this Fuel drill/clam plate setup. It was all new as of last year. It is nothing like I have ever seen. After using a friends setup most of last year...

    ion auger

That's what I said before last year. I'd fished nothing but 10 inch holes for years and years. This setup drills holes so fast we would drill one hole for the Vexilar and another hole right behind it for fishing. Even up in Winnipeg we used 8" augers on the Stikemasters and had no problems...

    ion auger

If you haven't seen one in action I'm telling you The Milwaukee Fuel, the Clam adapter plate, and your favorite 6 inch auger is THE BOMB! Only place we didn't use it last year was for the Winnipeg trips, where you need a gas auger to drill bigger holes through 4+ feet of ice.

    Finally get to play!!!!!

My wife, kids and myself are heading to Maplewood State Park for a weekend of tenting. The kids are just pumped to sleep in the tent. As a bonus there's even a little lake in the park stocked with muskies, although I've never caught one from there in several years of trying.

    best mapping chip for devils...

I have the current Lowrance Insight Chip (West HD V15) and it is exactly like the old Lakemaster chips. Love it. I have heard good things about the Dr. Sonar chips as well. Apparently you can get maps from before all the flooding and it shows a lot of buried structure.

    Moon Phases and Walleye

Along with monthly moon phases playing a factor there are also daily moon positions that are key. Moon rise and set are obvious, but moon directly overhead and moon directly underfoot are two other key times to make sure you're on your best spots and fishing your "A game".
