Bassmasters on oahe in SD this weekend.

It’d be interesting to know what “traditionally bass” tactics produced the most Walleyes.

    Prop Question

FWIW! merc Enertia was THE prop for my setup. I'm running a 19. I bet w/the V-Rod you can run a 21+ and get 53-55, maybe more.

    Grill Smoker Temp Probes

I've got an AidMax 6-probe off of Amazon. The connectivity is much better than was my 1st Gen Weber single-probe. I don't get that far away line-of-sight, but I do often go from the deck down to the basement and so far I haven' lost the signal.

    Prop Question

    I don't have that boat anymore. I'd run 5700ish w/23 and 6k w/21. - - - Updated - - - Assuming you outfitted with some manner of 200, it'll run 50+. I'm running a 186 w/V-6 200 and 9.9 4-stroke Yamahas.

    Prop Question

21 to 23 on my 150 Suzi/1850 FishHawk cost me ~300RPM and gained me ~2MPH. Had to run ~3MPH faster to stay on plane. Both the 21 and 23 were Suzi 3-blade props.

    String Trimmers

20V DeWalt is new this spring. Runs through ~1/2 of a 4 Amp/hr battery trimming around the camper, shed, and electrical box out front. No way to hook up other attachments, you have to buy more tools. 4-Stroke Ryobi is on it's 4th summer @ home. Only maint. has been an oil change finally this...

    Question about gun safes?

Strictly regarding the fire rating, 30Min fire rating MIGHT help someone who lives in a community with a well-organized, fully-staffed, full-time fire dept. That's assuming that the FD gets a call VERY shortly after ignition. If you live somewhere protected by a rural/volunteer FD, it might be...

We had a Great Horned Owl move into our neighborhood in town over the winter. There's a lot less rabbits now.

    Left Lane = PASSING LANE!

IMO, the second largest irritant for sure and easily top-3 for creating dangerous situations on ND highways are people who don't use their cruise. Last Sunday I was on Hwy 2, in the left lane @ 75MPH passing someone. This black sedan is coming up behind me all of 85MPH about 1/2Mi back, so...

Let’s assume for a second that I don’t know much about boats

Oil/Milky water is always bad. Not always a difficult or expensive fix, but always an indicator that a fix is required.

Long Range Shooting Best Scope for the Money

Vortex entered the market with a "Sell the Warrantee 1st" business model. Something to the effect of: "Try our new to the market scope. If it fails we have a no questions asked, no-fault, over-the-counter warrantee." The only way that business model works is you have to WAY overcharge up...

Long Range Shooting Best Scope for the Money

NF on a dedicated LR rig. LR means different things to different people. The deer I took in MT last fall was over 500yds w/sub 7# 270 and 4.5-14x40 1" tube Leupold. 1-shot, flop. For Leupold, I actually prefer the older Vari-X series to the VX series. I haven't tried any of the newer VX-i...

    This isn't good

I suspect you could take a current test for High-school Seniors, give it to people in their 50's and report that the 17-18yr old kids have a higher IQ. You could take the test that the 50yr olds took when they were seniors, and get the same results. The amount of detail that a history teacher...

? Jet ski accident strawberry lake ?

Just a whole lot of awful right there. I can't imagine the emotional penalty the whole lot of them are going to pay for all the "What-ifs" that they can't change.

    Opti Overhaul

150-250hrs in the boat/season maybe but I'd bet you don't put more than 50-60 "running" hours on your motors. My main motor hours averaged 30hrs over the last 3 seasons. I don't do any tubing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, etc just fishing. However, I do make some fairly long runs and fairly...

    Opti Overhaul

Figure 2:1-3:1 RPM outboard motors vs. car/pickup motors. Car/truck cruising down Interstate @ 75 is going to turn 1800-2200RPM in most cases. Let's say that 75MPH is 65%-75% of what a passenger vehicle is allowed to go. Now boat cruising @ 3/4 throttle is going to be running 3500-4500 RPM...

    Boat question.

I don't know diddly squat about inboard motors other than I hear improper fall draindown can be a problem and hard to accomplish. Is there no sort of fitting one can attach to an air source to blow things out?
