Regarding flushing smelt, I noted a lot of them Saturday night while wading on the Missouri north of Bismarck. Also plenty of shad the Wednesday before. Water was about 18" higher from Wednesday to Saturday of last week.
I would assume those pulses are from the dam, but that is a 100% uneducated guess.Are those diurnal pulses from melt or is that the dam controlling those for generation?
So, going to 35000 cfs by mid may should be interesting for the reel and rec on the 20th
DM, with that kind of flow tailrace should light up. Just saying. Jaykay this could be fun.
