It worked out fine for the Fox island parking issue. Lets see it and see if said boater will chime in like the guy who stepped up big time and admitted he was the one who parked oddly and gave an explanation as to why.

Ok so quick storytime.
Were fishing in a well known spot in Bismarck, Not catching a whole lot but its numbers and they are very small so were trowing them all back. 1 ever 10 min or so (it came in waves)
Boats are being nice enough to slow down as passing us in "the spot" without making a large wake. Some slowed down and put thier boat into a hard V with an extreem wake.... Yea buddy thanks, rather have you haul ass past me lol.
Were ancored on this spot not moving been there for about 2.5 - 3 hours now and this guy hauls ass up next to us within about 20 feet. I'm like ok dude what are you doing, he pulls out his pole when right behind my boat in the current and trolls up next to us with 12 feet. Were pitching jigs right near the rocks letting them drag into the current. So using about 50-75 feet in front of the boat and to the side.... Keep you distance right? I would respect someone there doing the same.
He continues to go in-between us and the rocks. I have no idea if I should say something or not to this guy. So he catches a fish within 10 seconds of being there... ok whatever buddy go fuck yourself.
He is in between us and the rocks upstream and starts drifting toward us keeps looking back at us as im not fishing anymore and literally staring at him wondering wtf is your problem right where you boat is you SAW ME PITCHING RIGHT THERE!!!!
So he snags up immediately (already know this I fish the spot a ton I'm where im at for a reason) as hes getting his snag hes drifting into us within 3-4 feet. One large footstep off my boat would have been in his. So im pissed pulling out my phone he starts to see me moved ahead more (upstream) and then get snagged over and over and over again.... Then leaves after his 5th snag.

WTF is with this guy. All I could think about is im posting this shit on the internet to show everyone what a dick this guy is.
This happened about a week and a half ago. No pics when he was literally on top of us because I was worried more about protecting my boat and him hitting us, rather than fishing at that point. Then went back to fishing as he put distance, from the Camera to rocks were about 40 feet ish.
If you know the spot im talkign about you know there is not much room.

This is great. For a second there, I got a bit worried, then I remembered I haven't been on the river in a while. Thankfully, he wasn't fishing out of a Ranger. Damn sylvan owners and their smoky, tower of power, mercury's!

I do fish that spot if NO ONE else is in there. It's big enough for one boat. If I drive by and see some one else working it, I continue on my way.

Haha, I was going to make a sparkly boat comment as well.

One would assume the polite and respectable thing to do. What can a person really do though, besides wait for them to hit you then call the cops. Even then its kinda like a parking lot situation, No fault according to the law.

Many years ago was fishing at the tailrace, down by the stumps. A guy pulls up and anchors like 20 feet beside us right where we are casting, drops his anchor and starts fishing. Wife's cousin and I look at each other, and start banging jigs off his boat. Did this for like 10 minuet's, and he finally gets the hint, and pulls his anchor, and leaves. Some people are just titty sprinkles DUMB!

The guys probably a douche but all things considered that's minor for the blood hole. Hell I've had guys as close as he was to the tip of the point when I was standing on it. If they were there first all is good but if we were first they get a couple warnings then they get videotaped for the game and fish if need be and then I break out the rod we call the hole clearer. Big catfish poll with 100 pound brade and a big ass hook and weight and we play the game of how many lines are they willing to have shaped off before they leave. The hole is pretty big this year so for boats she can fit three pretty easy....hell if you ever saw it in the 90's there were many days that there would be 10 to 15 boats in there all spinning around and around. Once saw my buddy put a couple foot long scratch down the side of Johnny candles new boat well he was filming a tips and tricks segment for the local news. Oh and his trick by the way was to take the line of the camera man and act like he caught it since he couldn't catch shit that day! But will say he was insanely cool about the scratch and said if you fish in here for long it's going to happen. So I guess I would say if you choose to fish in one of the community holes in town your best off if you just blow it off because it's going to happen....at least in a boat you can move on to another spot fairly easy.
