Lakewood ramp area skimmed over during the night

I like the reports everyone! My week fell apart and I'm not going to make it out to check lakes till Sunday morning now. I think I'm going to head up to Audobon and check out the bay up there, in my experience it always freezes hard early.

I left Bismarck yesterday around 2:00 in the afternoon met up with a buddy at Beaver Bay. Went off the old dirt ramp a couple hundred feet and was in 6' to 8' of water. Slow day, had a run of perch come through and only one caught. Did however see a Wilcraft go down the main ramp and he ventured out to the south west and probably 1/2 mile out. He even got out and was walking around! We had a good 3" of ice where we were but not sure what was out in the main river area? Left at 5:00 pm. Good Luck to all and be safe.

by old dirt ramp is that the one north of Beaver Bay called Olhouser?

No I'm guessing he's talking the low water ramp that is a couple hundred yards east of the main ramp at Beaver.

I'm sorry, yes the low water ramp that is just east of the main ramp.

Buddy caught this on Belcourt Lake this morning and said the ice is 6".

Horsehead was 6.5" about 300yds SE of the ramp today. Was a dead sea.

We went to Mud/Pearl on Sunday. We were the only ones out there and didn't see a soul on any other lakes on the way there. There was 6" of good ice and no fish.

Buddy and I fished Audubon, Turtle Lake ramp area, Friday afternoon. Walked out 400 - 500 yards, checked ice as we went...found 5 - 6 inches everywhere we cut. Caught a few fish, decent first trip out...be nice if the winds got our memo and sat down...guess not!

Is Audubon completely frozen over? I assume Sak is not. 65mph winds this afternoon could really make a mess of partially frozen lakes.

We drove to Garrison on Friday and Sak was still wide open and Audubon looked to be locked up from what we could see from the Hwy

its 41 degrees here now with little wind. There was no reason to shut everything down....YET...

Fished south end of audobaun on monday. Had about ten inches of ice. Never saw another person. Caught 4 large pike and a small walleye. Bringing snowmobile next. Dragging sleds in snow sucked.
