Thanks for sharing your perspective.

…and you’re in luck. We will be having multiple guests on in the coming months with direct experience in multiple CWD research projects using GPS collared animals.
Fuck your cwd and the politicians who dragged it in

One more thing - I sense your group’s eagerness to seek compromise in every situation is akin to the GOP compromising their way to socialism. When the hell are we going to start drawing some hard lines??? 😡

Start looking forward to paying for access to state school lands? WTF???

Would have been nice to hear an “over our dead bodies” if your goal is to stand for rights of outdoorsmen.

I believe that new boat landing development should have been surveyed and development way before the amphitheater was voted on. The fact that wasn't even discussed tells me this has everything to do with the same entitlement we see in the other branches of government. No accountability for taking tax dollars that don't belong to them and to give it to those who will most likely get kick backs one way or another that we have seen before.
I am looking forward to slappy chiming in about the proposed new boat landing idea, the way he posted earlier it was like pulling teeth to get permission from the core to build new projects on federal land.

You don't say greasing palms,.the political swamp is everywhere now. It should be almost impossible for city, county, state or federally elected to get away with passing legislation or commercial development without the so called checks and balances. It's a free for all with the sheer amount of money being spent and collected from those who know the who's who in the political world.
This should never stand here in North Dakota, I hope this example of abuse of power is dealt with accordingly by those who still give a shit about a little integrity.

Wondering what this area (when / if modified) would look like with an overlay of the Missouri at gauge level 20.5' ??

Short answer is...most of it gets wet with current topography. In reality, it would all depend on how much money they would eventually want to spend to protect it to XX feet. One could haul enough fill down there to protect the expensive stuff to 30 ft (pick a stage) if desired.

Keep an eye on this issue. There is rumored to be a bill coming in the 2025 session that will intend to close down all trust lands to public hunting. We will be watching closely.

A politician changing directions with the wind (i.e. fickle public sentiment)?

I’m surprised that you or anyone else would be surprised.

I’ve got a novel idea…… why don’t we keep all existing infrastructure in place. We move this pet project piece of shit to a new location( the new proposed park off Tyler parkway) so we don’t have half the town of Bismarck pissed off and then have to waste even more tax money to build or modify other ramps. This is like a giant money pit at this point. Who dreams up this shit? Serious question. Literally no phucking common sense at any government level unless of course the lack of common sense is to filter tax monies to predetermined ending points 🤔🤔.

You mean the same school trust lands we have been trying to keep ranchers from being able to post for years so that the general public can access public lands? They want to shut it down completely? To any form of recreation? That’ll go over well….. Again…. who dreams up this shit? And then if it were (unlikely) to pass we can use state taxpayer money to fund and defend the impending lawsuit over it? I can’t even wrap my head around how fucked up our governments are anymore. What happened to integrity, decency and common sense?

I thank Brock for coming on. I believe at first when I saw it, we would lose that boat ramp and build whatever they have come up with. That area is not big enough and yes Bis Parks and Rec gave 1 million dollars now we need another million I believe to get this project somewhat finished. A hotel and some fun place to be built and how many people going to die in river playing there, that is main river channel. You going to build big, tall fence to keep those tourists away? Some good going on and too much not. Who comes up with this agenda. Then now we might loose hunting on Trust land, when will it end. Us sportmans are just looosing all time to leftist what a shame. All ramps need major work over we can only hope some day.

I also thank Brock for his posts here.
What I see over and over on this thread is the question "who comes up with this shit?" We need to put some names to that question. It all starts with a person so blaming a group or commission is not helpful, we need someone to name names so we can at least attempt to hold people accountable. Anyone know any names?

I have not been able to confirm this potential trust lands bill. So, as of now, only a rumor. I will update as soon as I can confirm, if it’s not already public at that time. From what I’ve heard it’s coming from a landowner/lessee on the eastern side of the state. Again, just what I’m hearing in the rumor mill.
