There's too much technology for a hillbilly to keep up with , Our car has a chip in the key so it takes a special blank to make a spare that will work in the ignition, My Boys car doesn't even have an ignition switch or a key it's push button start. I wonder how long before thieves build an electronic device that scans and enables keyless cars.

Already done.

Our 15 Honda CRV doesn't have a key either and it's a push button start. You can't lock the doors from the outside if the controller is in the car.

I had heard that on newer vehicles avoid the hardware store made keys. I don't remember the reason why, but I thought it had some electronic connection. I don't remember the last time I put a key in a door. #fobisready

Probably just a sales pitch and the only difference is the hardware store sells them for $ 45 and the dealer sells them or over $ 100
