Sak Channel Cats

Was trolling for walleye off Mallard yesterday. I thought I had snagged a log again but was in 60 foot of water (rig was around 48 feet down) Thumped a couple times so I realized it was not a log. Get it to the surface and it was a very large channel cat. Anyone else run into this while trolling the lake? BTW returned to the lake if anyone wants to try for it LOL.

Have caught a handful, while fishing for walleye, especially around the Shell Island area. They fool me into thinking I have a big ‘eye every time.

Buddy landed a good sized cat while salmon fishing. Chartreuse spoon was running at about 60 or 80 foot depth.
