So now I am having problems with wrapping guides on the real flexible part of the ice blank. I drilled extra holes in my wrapper so I can bring the supports closer together. I still have a problem with too much flex especially the last two eyes on a really flexible tip. Anyone have any ideas on how to support the blank better

That's why I'd rather make summer rods. I've done what you did. Sometimes I'll put on a roll of masking tape to help balance the rod during this part. Other times I'll wrap it right the first time. Sometimes It'll take me a 1/2 dozen times for the knot to stick run properly up the guide foot.
