Hmmm....this just "happened" to come up in my YT catalog...she disagrees:Get the water to a rolling boil then add the egg. It'll over cook if you start it with the eggs already in.
And don't be embarrassed. I was a chef/cook for over 5 years. Im still learning things even now lol

Good way if you're doing them through up. I didnt learn about using salted water until I was like 20Hard boiled I start with eggs in salted water. Turn burner on high and bring to a boil. As soon as water boils I turn off heat, cover and let sit for 11-12 minutes. Then dump off water put cold water and fill with ice to stop cooking process
I'm quite sure your extremely inefficient, hardheaded technique is equally if not more delicious.Cool. Do whatever you wanna do. Just the way I have been doing eggs for 20+ years and works better for me

Probably because spelling isn't a very strong talent for certain folk, me being a prime example.
It's easier to combine to commonly used words
Hot = food temp
Dish = where food goes
