Dug a ice cream pail full of new red potatoes and now have to decide how to fix them. Just so many ways, LB

How many spuds are you getting with the early digging ? I'm only finding 3 or 4 per hill. Did find some better ones today but not near the yield I expected. I guess a couple more growing months so might be ok yet.

We dug a couple hills and saw the same thing…hopefully some improvement to come

I plant a lot so if I burn through a few more hills so be it. KDM was here on Monday and I sent him home with a couple pails full from other end of potato patch and there was a lot more bigger ones there than I expected. He was very happy. LB

have dug a few now. The reds were planted a week or two later than the Dakota Pearls. The reds I am getting 3-6 less than golf ball size and the Dakota Pearls I pulled last night had some pretty nice sized and probably about 6-8 per plant. Pulled and cooked more than I meant to but they are good leftover. Fresh taters are great but I really like the baby taters

I had been digging the early planted ones (Good Friday) that I used store bought potatoes for seed. Today I dug two hills that I used new seed and they were planted 2-3 weeks later still enough for a couple meals for wife and I and enough for leftovers. Glad I planted a lot of them.

I am happy for what I am getting. Had a herd of cow stomp them back into the ground when they first popped up and then about when they were 8 inches up I got 2 inches of hail. Tell you what they one though som-bitches. Had a nice plate full of American fries tonight and nothing beats that. LB

"mmmm", hell. I'd eat a double plate of that with a big glass of V8, turn on a bass tournament and spend three hours in a blissful food coma. Supper tonight was two cans of canned lasagna seasoned liberally with parmesan cheese. You ever tried it? You can literally shake it on food.

Do you have a side hustle with these food pics? You're some sort of artist unlike the dork taking pictures of the plate in a restaurant.
