2 weeks ago I was sitting on the living room floor putting together the grandson's Little Tyke's basketball hoop. Had crap spread out all over the floor, reached to my right to grab the directions and my freaking back locked up...damn near passed out! Laid down flat - wife got heating pad on the back, brought me 4 ibuprofen and shot of whiskey. So fast forward 2 weeks and 3 trips to the chiropractor with 2 more visits scheduled and the pain has moved into my right hip. Getting old does in fact suck...that is all! Camper...thoughts and prayers with you.

That thin skin thing is not good. I see scars from years ago. Its like a memory jog. Like the time as a farm kid I had only one arrow and I broke it. So I tried to glue it together. This gopher outside the living room window tempted me before the glue was fully set. That left a bumpy long scar across my left hand. As I get older mistakes get more expensive. A year ago I was carrying venison scraps into the back yard to feed a couole of fox that came nearly every night. I have neuropathy and loose my balance in the dark. I should have bought a light with because a bridge for my missing upper teeth run me "$4k the glasses that bent around my head were $700, and the chiropractor was $50. The xray showed my ribs were not broken it was one separated from the sternum.

Happy Camper remember there is one who loves you more than your own mother. May his angels escorted you gently into the paradise prepared for you. Ill meet you there. Who knows what tomorrow brings, a head on with a semi, or a falling branch may have me waiting to meet you. Meanwhile I'll pray for healing this very minute.

I always felt like I never let the grass grow under my feet. I grabbed life and tried to live it to the fullest and tried to share the best parts with friends and youngsters I thought "had the stuff". I've been a fortunate man with tons of great memories, many of them in writing.
So, two months ago when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and my urologist wasn't too optimistic I figured I'd ride this one out.
There already was a spot on my lung and Afib but, none of us will get out of here alive and I'm not about to feel sorry for myself.
I know my spirit will live on in the guns and gear i've willed and my hunting camp will be enjoyed by future generations.
Life will go on.

Sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis.
You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear the sad news. The big guy makes wise decisions on who and when.
Thoughts and Prayers . . .

Guys, this is all great food for thought. Remember if you will, that He has a plan, and nothing surprises Him. It's not for us to understand His ways, and while we may never know why things happened, nothing happens in this world and life, without it ultimately somehow/some way bringing glory to Him.
