Here are more numbers for you. If a baby boomer hit the work force in 1966, paid the max amount possible into medicare and retired in 2007, they would have only contributed about $25k. If they received the average Medicaid assistance amount since retiring, they may have received over $75k. Who do think paid for that? I am guessing those bitch grandchildren.

and then

So now I have this question........... Are you younger people contributing more of your money now, to cover your Medicare and Medicaid costs, or are you just going to let your kids or grandkids pay for you?????? PLEASE BE HONEST WITH YOUR ANSWER.

1833, first, thank you for your service!! :;:thumbsup Next where do you think that money the VA gets come from. I would bet out of everyone's taxes and it also adds to the country's ballooning deficit. Not saying you don't deserve to be taken care of, just stating that that money has to come from somewhere also.

As far as I know, the VA budget is part of the military budget (about 22% of the US Budget). I guess this is the cost of going to war for the last 16 years. Why is this the same as old people getting health care assistance because they are old?

Lets not forget that Bush cut taxes (more baby boomer policy) while we waged our longest war and doubled our debt.

how many of those people went to war in nam?

Even if you can say that all 8.2 million Vietnam Veterans were baby boomers (which they were not) and on medicare, that leaves 47 million people on medicare who are not veterans.

How many of middle eastern dissent

76% is white (only 72% of total population). 10% is black. 8% hispanic. 6% is other.

You have something to add to the conversation or you just going to ask stupid questions?

I wish we could get upset about health care costs instead of fighting about who is going to pay the outrageous health care bills: Medicaid/Medicare/Insurance. Wouldn't it be nice if most people that go to the doctor only a couple times a year could afford to go without insurance and just pay out of pocket? Wouldn't it be nice if I could get by with just insurance to cover a catastrophic medical issue? An average 15 minute doc visit is $200. An average night stay in a hospital is $2K. I think if fishing lures all of a sudden cost $50 each, we wouldn't just all sit back and try to find someone to buy them for us. We would look for cheaper options.

Keep criticizing "for profit" health care and you will be called bad names.
