Not saying the world doesn't have plenty of idiots at all levels of education, but it would be damn hard for me to ever say that I trust a Facebook trained scientist at the same level as someone who has spent 4-9 years studying the topic under others who have immersed themselves in the profession for 15-45 years.

A hydrological discharge wetland draws from ground water and discharges to the atmosphere. I worked for many years in wetland ecology in concert with hydrologists from other USGS offices. We used 80 wells from 18 ft deep to 480 ft deep to track water movement among 17 wetlands along a 200 ft elevation gradiant. Also monitored the conductivity range from 40 to over 10,000 along the elevation gradient. From recharge wetlands at 1800 ft to flow through, and finally discharge at 1600 ft.
There is hydrological data all the way back to 1962. In the 1970s more wells and piezometers were installed, along with a complete weather station, including long wave short wave solar radiation monitors. Aquatic macro invertebrates were monitored, water chemistry was monitored via mass spectrophotometer, amphibians and reptiles, breeding bird surveys, vegetation one meter quadrants were monitored etc. If you want to debate wetlands and hydrology let's have at it.

All the climate change funding is one sided. If you are doing research to prove man made global warming isn’t real you will not get funding. For a scientific community to completely ignore the other side of the issue really makes me question their ethics. It’s all about the mighty $$$$$ is so many ways.

I did the geothermal in 2010…don’t know what incentives exist today. It was $24,000…including four wells 200’ deep (closed system loops up and down one well after the other for 800’ of subsurface ground exposure. I live along the river so shallow water table gives excellent heat exchange. This winter my heat bill was $40-$50/month. Would definitely do it again. Summer a/c just reversed the heat exchange, producing hot water as a “waste” product that goes to my water heater for use. Comfort Zone installed it, while adding a third zone to the system. 3400 s.f. Three story. If I did as new construction I would do it through heated floors, mine was a forced air retrofit where both my furnace and a/c unit were shot at the same time.
