The way I understand it, he was sitting in a church pew, drew cross body and gun gets pointed straight at camera. i don't know if the scene call for the trigger pull. Sounds like they did one take and were preparing for a re shoot because of a shadow. They decided to do a practice run while waiting. Bang, now I am no revolver expert or liberal apologist but if a revolver is pointed at the camera, having visible cartridges in the cylinder would be expected for reality. So if he pull the trigger in the take that was ruined by a shadow, wouldn't it have cycled the next round into the firing position? Lots of ways this could have been/ should have been averted. Sad deal, wonder how it will spin into a push for more gun control. Perhaps the elimination of firearms use in hollywood? Would that hurt us more than them?
