Im not sure why but Ive got a hankerin to go back to college. Feeling like I should specialize in the language arts. Any recommendations on colleges I should look at or even what language i should learn?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing, then I seen how many different choices there are and said F-it.

Don't major in proper English. If you openly criticize someone who can't speak it are some sort of a-hole. Ain't dat right Bruh?

I would think Spanish would be the most prominent 2nd language in these parts. Not sure about a college. I could give you a weekend tutorial in Pig Latin for some liquid tuition if that will suffice?

mrs johnr is a student once again, she made a job change and part of it requires a different degree. I am old and slightly stupid, she however seems to be doing fine with it while still working a 40 hour week. She spends her time in the evenings after supper studying and taking mostly online classes through DSU our local college.

I could not likely do it, but she is much more driven.

If its what you want absolutely go after it.
Good luck

My current GF is finishing up her masters at UofM in Bismarck. Tuition prices are CRAZY, especially for non resident students. Luckily she has a good job and is able to pay it off as she goes. She should finish in Dec, which will free up a lot more of her time for other activities.... :;:muahaha

at the price of tuition and the horrible jobs outlook it would be a tough sell to go to college.

after being in college for the better part of a decade, I'd rather put a sweater full of pissed off africanized honey bees while attending an occupy wall street rally with the kardashian family just after they were told the were broke and being dropped from tv.

But, if you're inclined to return to a higher education institution, kudos to you. I'd say Spanish is your best bet for this area. Plus, the majority of vacations happen to be in spanish-speaking countries. It's either that or Mandarin.

Better think this one through. How old are ya? Do you already have a degree? Are you using that degree? Are you ready to sign up for a crap ton of debt via student loans or are you going to pay cash for the courses? Do you think your new investment in your education will yield dividends in the future or will it just be a learning experience? Are you planning on switching careers? Are you having a mid life crisis lol? Perhaps a Harley would be money better spent? Spanish would be good to learn, followed by chinese/mandarin. Lots of chinese/mandarin being flung around now a days. Really wish I new chinese/mandarin jargin.

Haha I don't think I could come up with a better description for my feelings as well.

I was talking to some folks the other day who knew I'm a NDSU alum and just busting my balls a little they said "what if you kid wants to go to UND when he gets older?' All I said was as long as he goes to learn a valid employable skill I don't care where he goes. I could tell they weren't big fans of the answer. I won't say what they do for work just that it isn't private sector.(Not that there is anything wrong with that, great folks just a different outlook on things.) I guess instead of being on the "follow your dreams" side of things I sit more towards if your dreams can't pay your bills find something that will pay your bills and pay for your dreams. If that means going back to school then get after it pigsticker.
