I'm wondering how many people on here are Hunter Ed/Safety Instructors.

I've been a Chief Hunter Ed Instructor for about 15 years now and I think it's a great way to introduce people to the outdoors and the responsibilities that go with it.

I've had kids, men and women and new to our state hunters in my classes over the years. It's nice to see kids still be involved in hunting and fishing as they grow up. I've taught several whole families from Grandpa through the 9 year old hoping for a fall tag.

I stress the ethics of hunting and the responsible parts as well as rules ad regs.

In addition to being an AZ Hunter Ed Instructor, I'm also a NMLRA (National Muzzle Loading) Instructor and an SCTP (Scholastic Clay Target Program) Instructor for school kids.

I think it's a great way to put your money where your mouth is.

I was a hunter ed instruction for ND through college. Did it for six years total and then had to relocate south. Never was able to pick it up again despite reaching out a half dozen times. I guess they had enough help? Now I have kids and zero extra time so it's too late, but I really enjoyed it when I was able to volunteer.
