@luvcatchingbass hooked me up with a new spot. We got one there on the last set of the night. Could have been two with some better planning, but it sometimes takes a few tries to learn what works best on a new property. We'll be back.

At the 8:02 mark there was one that ran across the top of the hills in the upper right corner of the screen going left to right. That's crazy how well it showed up because that is a long ways over there probably 700-800yds also I started giggling on the second one you shot and the s**t just flew

Bbl length and 75gn velocity w/the 22Creed? I got a text that mine is chambered, just needs muzzle threads, a crown, and a bead blast. I went 22" 1:7 Lilja on a Kimber Montana.

Buddy and I were talking the other night about a 62gr ELD-VT out of a 22 Creed. Punched some numbers off of some info I found on another forum and that thing would be a freekin laser beam. I need to stop looking things like that up because then I want to build up one, which wouldn't be so bad but I got other gun projects to square up first.

I know the feeling. Was just running rough numbers on the 6 creed with the 80? Grain eldvt. And the 22 arc with various loads and the 25 creed and 22-250

For sure that 62 ELD-VT would be flat. I got 1,000 of them sitting on the shelf, but I got the 75 ELDMs before the 62s were available, and they kill so well that I'm not motivated to work up a new load for this rifle.

You will get a little over 3600 fps with the 62 gr. Go with the Sierra Blitzking 50gr and 1 - 12 twist and get right at 4000. Buy a WOA 223 1 - 12 and run a reamer thru it.

You can always push a lighter bullet faster, but which is "better" depends on your goals.

I'm not certain they'd be that far apart in muzzle velocity, given the same barrel length, but let's say they are. Running some quick numbers using a 100 yard zero, that 50gr Blitzking is only ever a maximum of 0.7 inches "flatter" out to 400 yards. The 62 ELD-VT overtakes it somewhere between 400 and 500, while having about 40% less wind drift (given a 10mph cross wind) and bringing more energy the entire way.

BC is not just a fad. It has measurable consequences.

You ever use it for a "lights out" doe gun?

No. I shoot Barnes at edible critters. 6.5 manbun with 127 LRX at just over 3000 FPS is quite devastating as well.
And I'm not sure if by "lights out" you mean like literally in the darkness... If so, no, I'm kind of into following the law.

No sir; I meant a precision ear canal shot without disrespecting the appearance of the deer. Seems to me these higher wt .22s would be a good deal. I "know" you from years of posts and would never suggest illegal bullshit. Sorry I wasn't completely clear.
