Backed out of the garage this morning - as soon as the front tires hit the driveway I was along for the ride until I hit the street. Streets weren't too bad though.
I can't believe the number of vehicles I see on the HWY. STAY HOME!
There's 4 cars in the ditch on the hill on north side of Porcupine creek. I wonder how many more there are out there?
Had a nice afternoon drive up to the Killdeer Mts yesterday, was a bit overcast, but roads were good.
Headed to Twin Buttes today, sounds like its perfect roads that way too. Must just be on the edge of this nonsense.
Just watched a Queer Beer Semi slide off the road. Coming downhill real slow but it's a skating rink and he slide in right side of ditch. He kept it straight but that road isn't level. Two pickups did the same thing but were able to drive back out.
Drove Bismarck to Fargo today, 94 was fine. Pretty foggy from Jamestown east otherwise would have been normal speeds. Valley City-Oriska area looked the worst to me, that rest stop in between the east and westbound lanes by Oriska had lots of branches down on basically every tree there and the fences in that area looked to have a couple inches of ice on them.
My buddy runs studs on his daily in town commuter car from December through February. Rarely actually needed. But, worth their weight in honey when they are needed. Not a highway vehicle
Used to run them on my old 89 Ford 150. Had them mounted on the original steel rims so would just swap rims in the spring and fall. Just used the truck for hunting and we called her Spike and it would crawl up a tree and I only had it stuck once where I needed a pull. LB
