I watched an ambulance go by at about 10 mph. Car in the ditch now, watching them to see what happens.

Lots of ice around Fargo too , didn't get that 37 that was predicted and it was a weird storm that was raining at 22 degrees .

Backed out of the garage this morning - as soon as the front tires hit the driveway I was along for the ride until I hit the street. Streets weren't too bad though.

Gotta go into town in a few hrs. Don't know if I should just strap on the ice skates or try and thaw out the shop door to get truck out

I can't believe the number of vehicles I see on the HWY. STAY HOME!
There's 4 cars in the ditch on the hill on north side of Porcupine creek. I wonder how many more there are out there?

Had a nice afternoon drive up to the Killdeer Mts yesterday, was a bit overcast, but roads were good.
Headed to Twin Buttes today, sounds like its perfect roads that way too. Must just be on the edge of this nonsense.

Just watched a Queer Beer Semi slide off the road. Coming downhill real slow but it's a skating rink and he slide in right side of ditch. He kept it straight but that road isn't level. Two pickups did the same thing but were able to drive back out.

Well they're trying to pull that semi out. It's a Blue Rhino I think

They got the Semi out. Line of traffic behind it still sitting there. Cops got traffic stopped on south side. Complete chaos from what I can see.

Drove Bismarck to Fargo today, 94 was fine. Pretty foggy from Jamestown east otherwise would have been normal speeds. Valley City-Oriska area looked the worst to me, that rest stop in between the east and westbound lanes by Oriska had lots of branches down on basically every tree there and the fences in that area looked to have a couple inches of ice on them.

Anyone run studded tires anymore? I've thought about buying a set for one pickup just for the winter. Never run them before, how noisy are they?

My buddy runs studs on his daily in town commuter car from December through February. Rarely actually needed. But, worth their weight in honey when they are needed. Not a highway vehicle

Used to run them on my old 89 Ford 150. Had them mounted on the original steel rims so would just swap rims in the spring and fall. Just used the truck for hunting and we called her Spike and it would crawl up a tree and I only had it stuck once where I needed a pull. LB
