For a new shotgun, over & under. I'm leaning towards a Browning Citori , for those that shoot over & unders what's your opinion?

I just bought a cz all terrain ultralight in 20 gauge. I like it so far but I only have about 50 rounds thru it as of now. I am not much of a double barrel guy yet, I struggle giving up the 3rd shot at times

Years ago I bought a Tristar and really like it. It's not as expensive as a Browning but has worked well for me.

Can't let it go: 99.9% of upper/lowers are missing a trigger which causes a strange look and negates "instant" choke selection. For strict upland; if I wanted an O/U: I'd look into a used English stocked Merkel.

If it fits you right you'd also kick ass at trap and sporting clays. This is a Prince Of Wales grip:

That is all.

I used to have a Ruger Red Label. Very nice. Great balance. Sold it for a Beneli Ethos. Never looked back.

Im a fan of browning o/u,made my citori sporting special into a poor mans trap gun. After 20+ years and 1000's of trap rds it never missed a beat, not sure what browning has done to enhance the citori lineup these days but i was eye balling the 725 sport model.

Keep in mind browing is a ejector breech loader, heavy trigger pull is browning m/o (5lb top5.5lb under)safety protocol ,further youll find browning ou's top barrel shoots flat 50/50 at 30yds and 60/40 lower couple hours spending time to fit ( if you know what to do) and do a visual on your intended shot load on pattern board.

If you purchase new you'll have stock shims, spacers ( if you have long arms) to set correct "lop" (length of trigger pull) purchasing a shotgun new off the store gun rack and expecting it to fit like a glove is a faliscy example little guy 5'4 vs a big guy 6'+ wont fit well w/o some tweaking unless your intended use is a couple weekends in the field then whocares youll make it work.

Have both the Browning Citori and Ruger Red Label in 12 ga. I actually prefer the Red Label. Son has the Browning Cynergy and that is a sweet O/U. Believe the Red Label is a bit lighter than the Browning Citori and stock seems to be a better fit for me.

Trigger pull on a shotgun means nothing. You Slap or Punch the trigger so a 5 lb pull is nothing.

Seems many yrs ago when I was looking o/u , that most Brownings were the heavier of them all. (sometimes a good thing for quality)
I have a hard time giving up that 3rd round for sleeper birds.

Make sure you get a O/U with ejectors. Its a pain in the butt having to pick out your spent shells.

I prefer Inertia triggers over mechanical. But its all personal preference.

Make sure you shoulder a few first. Browning was what I wanted but after a few swings with it and a few others I went with the Ruger Red Label
