Fished Independence Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday caught walleyes in 20 to 23 FOW. Wednesday they refused to bite. Went deeper 28 to 30. Marked amazing number of fish. Caught 2 smaller walleyes. Went to 14 to 16 FOW. Caught 9 nice keepers in an hour. First 3 were 17 inches. Largest was 19.5 inches. All caught on a half crawler slow death hook with smile blades or bare hook. Smile blades caught majority. Speed .6 to 1 mph. Awesome 2 days!

Been hammering walleye on middle part of lake too around Charging Eagle. Last week, the little Missouri arm was muddy and could not get away from the little catfish. Picked up a few walleye still and nailed a 13 lb catfish on an ultralight casting rod. On such a light setup, it took about 45 minute to land it. Then another 10 minutes to revive it. Great bass year too. Not seeing any pike though.
